Zellers
Zellers, founded in 1931, was Canada’s second-largest chain of mass merchandise discount stores, with locations in communities across Canada. It offered national and private brand merchandise. The company’s stores primarily offered furniture, electronics, ready-to-assemble furniture, grocery items, and frozen and dairy aisles. Its stores also have pharmacies and a restaurant. A subsidiary of the Hudson’s Bay Company, it consisted of 273 locations across the county.
